Idea Drive for Xbox Media apps (Blu-Ray, Media player, Netflix, Plex)

Vote and comment on Ideas to improve the Xbox as the all in one media console. This would include Blu-Ray, Netflix, Plex and other media apps.

It would also include suggestions about things such as new audio codecs or video codecs that should be added. (and anything else that has to do with media)

I bought the Xbox One in part because it was supposed to be the best place for my media as well as games.

I would like to see that the Xbox becomes the best place for your home media again. As right now it's lagging behind Nvidia and Apple.

Please add audio passthrough for 3rd party apps like Kodi. The NVIDIA Shield does it, why can’t the Xbox?

Please add HD Audio (Lossless TrueHD Atmos 7.1) Pass-through for 3rd Party apps like (KODI, Plex, VLC) or even for Movies & TV which should support 4K HDR or Dolby Vision.

Dolby Vision support for 4K UHD Blu-ray discs please!!!!!

Need much better support for playback of 4k (with or without HDR) video files over home network such as a NAS. As of mid November 2018 none of the Xbox media apps (VLC, KODI, PLEX, etc.) work very well or at all when it comes to 4k playback. Nvidia Shield works perfectly in comparison.

Ability to download music from music apps to save data for users with monthly data caps. This feature is already available on Windows 10 version of the apps (Spotify, Deezer, etc.), should not be difficult to port.

Can we please please please please have the 360 system for playing music, so we can just plug in a flash drive and play music in backround while we play games and ect and just press guide to pause/skip/volume or whatever. Please it was one of the best features you had on the 360 why did you take it away😢🎶

Blu-Ray could support HEVC H.265 codec
Also Bitstream for external apps would be great.

Hey Microsoft. How about giving us region free DVD\BR capabilities? Many other players give at those features and it would be cool to see it implemented on Xbox one\360 as well.
