Q: How do I use the Xbox Ideas site?
A: Xbox Ideas is a site for users to submit suggested changes, feature requests, and new ideas for gaming on Xbox and Windows. Users do this by participating in Idea Drives via voting, commenting, and submitting their ideas.
Q: What is an Idea Drive?
A: An Idea Drive is a campaign with a limited number of ideas that runs for a limited time (usually 1-3 months). Each Idea Drive will focus on a specific feature area or topic. Some Idea Drives will have a collection phase where users can submit their own ideas. Every Idea Drive will have a voting phase, where users can vote and comment is on their favorite ideas. Once the voting phase ends, All ideas and comments will then be reviewed by the Feature Team. Idea Drive results will be posted on the Xbox Insider blog.
Q: I want an Idea Drive for _____! How do I do that?
A: There is a forum called the Idea Drive Suggestion Box where you can submit requests for future Idea Drives.
Q: Why does it take so long for my ideas to become visible on the site?
A: In order to keep the list of ideas for each Idea Drive focused and easy to navigate, all idea submissions and comments are reviewed prior to becoming visible for a given Idea Drive.
Q: Do I need to sign in to post ideas and vote?
A: Yes. This UserVoice site requires a user to create an account and login before he or she can vote, comment, or submit an idea.
Q: What happens after I submit my suggestion to an Idea Drive?
A: Our dedicated staff and moderators review every submitted idea and comment before deciding to post anything to the site. Your submission may be edited for content, clarity, and to increase or decrease the scope. Our goal is to understand the core aspects of your idea, and make it clear and open so everyone can vote and comment in a way that is productive and constructive

A: Once you're signed in, you can vote for an idea by clicking the Vote button next to the idea's title and description. You can vote once per idea. An idea's total number of votes is presented just above the Vote button.
Q: Do I get credit if my idea is implemented?
A: You get boasting rights among your friends and family, and the knowledge that you've helped make Xbox better for everyone. We won't be offering any form of compensation.
Q: How do I receive updates about my ideas?
A: You can enable notifications by clicking Settings – located next to your Gamertag in the upper right portion of the screen. Type in your preferred email address to receive the updates. You can also set your preferred language and add an image for your Avatar.
